Recraft documents vector editing and SVG export, with Basic at US$12 monthly and no commercial rights on free outputs. Ideogram editable text layers do not turn a whole design into an SVG. Firefly US monthly prices are verified at US$9.99 and US$19.99, both in budget, but the complete SVG and transparent PNG route still needs confirmation.

The task

Spend no more than US$20 with monthly billing on a Chinese-and-English logo for a commercial website, delivering an editable SVG and a transparent PNG. If the wording itself must stay editable text, verify text objects and fonts separately, because a requirement for live text is not part of this brief and outlined lettering is not disqualified on that basis.

Recraft Basic

This month: US$12 a month with 1,000 credits: the price condition is met. The US$120 annual prepayment is outside this task.

Vector creation and import, point and curve editing, colour changes and SVG or PDF export are documented. A frame must contain only vector elements and raster content has to be vectorised first, and the vector path does not accept a reference image. Editable paths do not prove the lettering stays editable text.

  • Paid plans carry commercial rights for work created while subscribed, while free outputs are public and lack a commercial licence - Recraft Free fails this commercial brief.
  • The exact transparent-PNG workflow and allowance on the web Basic plan, and preservation of bilingual text objects, were not verified.

Ideogram Plus

This month: US$20 a month with 1,000 priority credits: the price condition is met. The US$180 annual plan, equivalent to US$15 a month, is not monthly billing.

The Layerize Text beta extracts editable text layers, with failures on curved or complex lettering, which does not establish an editable SVG export of the whole design. No whole-design SVG evidence was found here, which is not a claim that it will never exist.

  • Hosted generation permits commercial use under the terms, and Plus offers private generation, but the complete transparent-PNG workflow was not verified.
  • A web subscription is not a commercial self-hosting licence for the open weights.

Adobe Firefly

This month: US Standard US$9.99 a month and Pro US$19.99 a month: both meet the price condition, verified as Monthly in the US Individuals page. Australian prices are not used here.

Firefly includes image and vector generation, but which web or Creative Cloud surface, on which plan, exports the required editable SVG was not established. Do not assume a Firefly subscription includes Illustrator or every Creative Cloud app.

  • The required transparent-PNG surface and cost are unverified.
  • Adobe models, partner models and qualified enterprise indemnity have different scopes, and third-party or beta and trial features are not automatically covered.

Practical route

Check Recraft Basic first when editable shapes matter, and confirm before paying that transparent PNG export is included in that plan. Ideogram text layers are worth checking when changing wording matters, but they are not the same deliverable as an SVG without further evidence. Combining Ideogram Plus and Recraft Basic costs US$32 a month, which exceeds this brief even though each plan fits on its own.

Delivery checks

Open the SVG in a vector editor and inspect whether it holds real paths or text rather than one embedded PNG. Check the alpha channel, dimensions and spelling in the PNG. No sample was generated and inspected here, so one-shot completion is not promised, and a commercial licence does not guarantee uniqueness, trademark registration or freedom from third-party rights.
